Aaron Klein rocks the Commons

Emerald Ridge has many talents including two seniors Aaron Klein and Damien Hunter play music for a band called Carbon Trap. The band consists of just those two, Klein plays the guitar with a bass pickup while singing, Hunter plays the drums.

“My future goal with music is being able to live off of what I make from music and to connect with other musicians and young ones, thats what its about.” Klein said.

Klein has been playing in bands for three or four years now but the current band carbon trap he’s been with since september. Carbon Trap started out playing covers but now they’re working on originals and are going to be releasing their first original album on April 7th it will be twelve songs long, the day the album is released they will be playing a big show at Columbia City Theater.

“Playing the Swiss is my favorite place. I love playing the small stages, it is a bar but the crowd’s great. The food and the workers are awesome.”  Klein said.

Klein has been playing the guitar for almost nine years now and he’s wanting to learn how to play the piano, he can play the drums and bass alongside the guitar.

“I just do it because I enjoy playing music.” Hunter.

Hunter’s first band is Carbon Trap he’s been in it since september that’s also when he started to play the drums. His true love is actually with the bass that’s the first instrument he learned to play and was self taught. He had to move to the drums when the band started up, he picked up the sticks and played like he’s been playing for years. The Swiss is his favorite spot to play.
