On Tuesday, Feb. 27 more than 20 different organizations and businesses visited our school to offer opportunities for students to volunteer and meet the gradation requirement of 20 hours of community service. Only sophomores and juniors were required to attend.

“I Think it’s pretty rad. I mean, you’ve got these cookies and stuff everywhere,” said junior Sydney Hutmacher. “Blood Drive, Key Club, everything [interests me]. Volunteering is fun, you get a warm feeling when you’re done.”

Juniors and sophomores alike were invited to look at the different boards and talk to the business/organizations representatives and get a feel for what they might be interested in. Most tables also had sign-up sheets for students to put down their information, and brochures to take.
