Most people know who Taylor Swift is; she’s one of the youngest country singers in the world. Swift writes about her life, how she felt about her choices and about her ex’s, but all of the music she makes is amazing.

Swift was born in Wyomissing, Pa. Dec. 13, 1989. At age 13 she signed with RCA Records, but one year later she quit and got out of her contract because she did not want to sing other writer’s songs and as she did not want her songs to be sung by other artist.

At the age of 14, she and her family moved to Nashville to start her career in country music and signed with Big Machine Records. Swift was the youngest songwriter ever hired by Sony/ATV music Pub house. Swift has won seven Grammy awards, 15 American Music Awards, 11 Country Music Association Awards, seven Academy of Country Music Awards and 12 Billboard Music Awards. She has sold over 30 million albums and 80 million digital single downloads.

Swift’s fifth studio album 1989 was released Oct. 27. It is her first official album as a pop artist. Her wardrobe has also transitioned from dresses to crop tops and shorts. 1989 has become the topic of the year so far.

The song “Blank Space” is amazing, because it shows how Swift knew that the guy the song is written about was bad news and knew that he was going to hurt her, but she still took a chance. The song is different because of how the song is played. It doesn’t seem that it would be her singing the song, and the lyrics are arranged differently from how she has written any song before.

In “Shake It Off,” Swift took this song off the other end. This was her first single that came out Aug. 18. The song came on the radio stations across the U.S. The lyrics in the song have shown how strong Swift has become. The song is okay, but it sends an amazing message. It caught who love her by surprise. Many who listened to it said she took it away from the country genre and that the transition hurt some of her own fans because it took them all by surprise by announcing it on live stream.

“Out Of The Woods” is not as great. It does have a lot of repeating lyrics and it gets really annoying at points of the song. She repeats “Are we out of the woods yet?” and “Are we in the clear yet?” many times throughout the whole song. But, on the other hand, it gets a lot of attention because of how catchy it is. The song has great beats and it’s very hyper genic and crazy.

Rumor on the street is that “Style” is about the band member of One Direction, Harry Styles. The song says exactly how he dresses and how his hair is and Swift knew fans and Harry would have a reaction to it. Personally, the song is great. It has a different beat to it than her other songs and it takes time to tell what she is talking about, but once you hear it you can tell who this song is really about, and then everything comes together.

Swift did a worldwide live stream on ABC News and Yahoo. Swift had announced that she had changed from country to pop because she was listening to late 80’s music at the time of writing her music. She says that back then they took chances and were bold and dressed how they wanted to dress. She decided to name her album 1989 after the year that she was born in. Swift has shown that there will be less influences of country songs than ever before and it will drastically change her career position forever.

1989 has sold over 2 million copies since it came out, and the top song is “Blank Space,” being downloaded 328 thousand times.
