Emerald Ridge was featured on King 5 Morning News Oct. 3 during a special pep assembly. The King 5 film crew arrived at six a.m. to film everyone who attended the pep assembly in the gymnasium.

Coincidentally, a poll on King 5’s website declared ER v. Rogers – the infamous King of the Hill and homecoming game – as the Big Game of the Week.

Over 31 thousand votes were put in for ER v. Rogers in the poll, making them triumph over Glacier Peak v. Bellevue at five percent, Federal Way v. Decatur and Marysville-Getchell v. Marysville-Pilchuck at four percent, and Bothell v. Woodinville at 30%.

“Every Friday King 5 morning news does something like this at different schools,” event planner and AP Psychology teacher Ben Muehlenbruch said. “It  could very well just be coincidence or perhaps there was knowledge of this game being King of the Hill or possibly the game of the week.”
